My Favorite Summer Sandals

I've accumulated quite the shoe collection over the years and did a huge decluttering last summer. Through all of that I've found that shoes are my weakness (first world problems, I know)...For some reason being more intentional with my closet has excluded my shoes... LOL!

I'm obsessed with the sandals they have out this season! One of my best friends gave me a huge tip with shopping for heeled sandals. She said to always try to find some with an ankle strap because it helps stabilize the ankle and makes it so much more comfortable. It's been a total game changer for me, therefore most of my heeled options have an ankle strap :) So, over the past few months I've been compiling some of my favorites and I'm excited to share them with you. I've got these categorized by store, then women's sandals, toddler boy, and girl sandals :) I hope you enjoy!

Friday Finds: Memorial Day Sales

There are SO many sales going on this weekend! Memorial weekend is one of the best weekends of the year for discounts so today I'm going to list some of my favorite steals and deals :) I'm not sure if you've already heard but Nordstrom is having their half-yearly sale, so lots of items are going for 40% off there. Old navy is having a 50% summer wear sale, banana republic is having a 40% off sale (don't forget to use the code), and Gap is having an online exclusive of 50% off of everything!

Wyatt and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary a little early this year, we are currently waiting for our flight to San Francisco. We found some really cheap plane tickets back during black Friday last year, so we've had this trip planned for some time. We are staying with some friends and are really excited. I cried last night putting the babies to bed and leaving this morning, keeping my fingers crossed that that's the last of my crying. But who knows this is our first time leaving our babies together but I'm glad they will get to spend some time with their Lola! I hope you all have a great memorial day weekend :)

White Denim

I LOVE denim, especially white denim. It's perfect for spring and summer and there are so many different ways to wear it. They have the cutest denim jackets out right now and I like white denim jackets to change up my casual looks. But when it comes to white denim jeans there is a constant struggle with them being see through. Every single pair I've tried on are see-through... even these really cute pair I found for $200. Just for the record I'd never pay that much for a pair but I had to try them on to see if there was a difference, and there wasn't! Still see-through! haha! Overall, I've found that they weren't worth the investment for me. So, I found the pair above from Old Navy and I love them! The are a midrise and a true white! They are constantly going on sale and are even on sale right now for $25. I've linked some of my favorite white denim jackets and jeans below! So many of them are on sale! I hope you all have a great Thursday :)

Wednesday Recap

(My shirt is already sold out, but I linked a similar one)

I finally finished The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People this last week. I had started it a while ago but it took me forever to get through. I wasn't the most exciting audio and honestly probably one of the most "boring" books I've listened to in a long time. But I feel like I learned so much from it. I love audiobooks because there is no way I would read as many books as I've listened to in the past two years. Stephen Covey's 7 habits are all about how to better interact with people, and how we personally react to adversity. He implements trust and loyalty in every single habit, it might be why I"m so drawn to this book because I take loyalty and trust very seriously in my life. One of my favorite principles of the book is to "seek to understand before being understood," this principle speaks the most to me, probably because I know I need to practice this one the most. I love connecting with people in all ways whether it's a quick interaction at the grocery store, through social media, or with close family and friends. But I always feel more connected when I heard about how the other person is experiencing a situation and I put them before myself. I will probably listen to this book again because I tend to do that with books I really enjoy. I'm also thinking about doing a monthly book club. Where I just share what I'm listening to, you can read along with me, and I can interact more with all of you! :) I hope your week has been going great!

Where I Get My Church Dresses

Over the years I've had the most success with the following stores listed below. I've been through cute little boutique that carry more modest clothes but I have found that most of the time the dresses won't last past a season. Which is a little disheartening especially when the dresses are a bit pricier just because they are more modest. What I've found to be true when shopping for clothes, but especially dresses is, if you want ALL three things: quality, style, and modesty (through the chest, sleeve, and length area) most of the time "you get what you pay for". Meaning if you're paying less than $30 of a dress your probably going to sacrifice on either style, quality, or modesty. Not always lots of stores can have amazing sales, but most of the time that's the case. Like the dress I'm wearing above, it's modest and stylish, but is lacking in quality. It's something I don't mind sacrificing because it's $26 and I can probably get it to last me at least a year. I've had ALL of my maternity dresses from ASOS last me two pregnancies! That's impressive to me!

Anyway, I've tried my best to find budget friendly options but there are a few dresses in this that are more investment pieces :)
