Eating: He is still a good little eater. During Emmett's first 2 week's I loved pumping. But that has been dying off the older he gets because now breastfeeding has become easier and with feeding. In fact it's almost been two weeks since I've pumped. But we did have a 3 day straight cluster feeding fiasco. Not fun. He wanted to be "breastfeed" 24/7 and refuse to let him use me as a binky. Which was difficult for the both of us, so instead we did a LOT of cuddling and snuggling those days and made it through! :)
Sleep: Despite those 3 days we had, Emmett has slept right through the night since he was about a month old We have a nightly routine which has really worked for us. He sleeps at night from 10:30PM-7:00/7:30AM straight. When he wakes up in the morning he usually eats 8 ounces. He then has a nap from 9:00AM-12PM, then another nap from 2:00PM-5:00PM, then a power nap from 8:30-9:00PMish, then we do the nightly routine, and it's time for bed again. We'll start dialing it back this week and see if we can get him to go down at 9PM, so wish us luck!
Likes: SMILING, giggling, snuggling, his nuna swing, his hand in his mouth, speaking Spanish with Dad, hymns to fall sleep, and bath time! We did a full 180 on bath time, the kid used to hate it! But one of my girlfriends suggested getting in with him and nursing if he got really fussy and it worked like magic! I started nursing him the first couple times but then he was over it. He just wanted to splash and kick so now that's what we do. I'm so thankful for supportive and helpful mamas!
Dislikes: Wet diapers, tummy time, and being hungry. Emmett has this squeal when he's hungry, it's hilarious and he only does it when he's hungry & I burp him! I call it his piggy squeal and it gets me every time. LOL!
Milestones: Well, sleeping for 8/9 hours through the night has been great. Overcoming his hatred for baths. Lifting up his head a lot better. He will also roll from his tummy to his back when he's really mad, he's not going from his back to tummy yet so it's not like I can say he's a rolling baby... But still cute when he gets surprised that he rolled over. As for growth, he's 13.9 lbs & 23 1/2 in long. I also got this app called "wonder years" it's amazing! It tells you the exact dates to when your little one could be going through a leap, I love it! Highly recommend it for new moms that aren't totally sure why their baby is fussy or why they might be having a few "off" days.
