Happy Halloween

Here's a little Halloween inspired outfit! By Halloween inspired, I mean all black... because that counts right? Lol! Honestly, I'd wear this outfit whenever ;)

So, on Saturday we had planned on going to another pumpkin patch to try to be festive, but after we went to dinner we realized we really wanted to go to the movies. Before Emmett was born we went to the movies ALL THE TIME. Like literally right up until he was born, so we've been missing it theses past couple months. Sully was Emmett's first movie and he did great. We had him in his carseat for the first half and then I fed him and he watched the rest of it with us! I couldn't believe how good he was because he has been getting a lot more bored lately but I think he liked the plane and loud noise haha! Well I hope you all had a great weekend, and have a happy Halloween!

Binxy Baby

I probably go to the store at least 4 times a month. When I first had Emmett shopping was overwhelming, honestly leaving the house in general was overwhelming. He was still too little to lift his head up and sit in the cart, but taking the carseat took up so much space in my cart. Overall, the whole thing was frustrating. So, I'm so excited to share this baby hammock with you guys because it has changed the way that I shop! Binxy Baby fits most standard grocery carts, I haven't been to a store where it doesn't fit. It's used for babies that are approximately 6 months old or until they can sit up by themselves. Also, it holds carseats and supports up to 50 pounds in weight. I have gotten comments on it everywhere I go because it's so cute and practical! I even have a 10% off discount code to share, just click on the link below.

P.S. Wyatt and I have been on a health kick...  Here's a little healthy seasonal treat I made & let myself cheat with ;) Recipe on my Pinterest: Kristinacamblog

I hope you all have a great Friday! :)

Maternity SALES & Pregnancy Hacks

This dress is now on SALE :)

Almost all of my maternity dresses are on a CRAZY sale right now! So, I've listed the ones I wore when I was pregnant along with some great fall options! Asos, seriously had the best size selection for me throughout my 3rd trimester, I don't even know what I would have worn when I was that huge if I didn't have ASOS! Haha! I also wanted to share some of my pregnancy hacks :) I hope this helps all you expecting mamas <3

My Maternity Dresses

Fall Option Maternity Dresses

Pregnancy Pillow: You can get these off of amazon/buy buy baby/or any other "baby" store. My husband got me mine for Christmas, which was definitely one of the best presents ever. I couldn't believe how much I actually used that pillow. I had sciatic nerve pain throughout my entire pregnancy so I used it from my first trimester on. Even a couple weeks after having my baby! So, for me it was definitely a necessary item during pregnancy. There are so many different styles and sizes to what you may want/need. I used the furthest left.

Hair tie pants- I did this all the way through my 3rd trimester! If you've looked into buying a pair of pregnancy jeans, you've probably seen that they can run more expensive than non-pregnancy jeans. I'm a minimalist when it comes to actually buying pregnancy clothes but I also like to look as presentable as I can while I'm pregnant (it helps me "feel" like myself while my entire body is changing) Using a hair tie to help with me preserve the clothes I already had while growing a baby.

Water Bottle- Being pregnant almost the entire summer in southern California was hot. Really hot. I forced myself to drink water all day because I would get so dehydrated. I was sweating constantly and it also helped curve the nausea I had during my first trimester. I recommend a huge water bottle you can take w/you everywhere so you don't forget to drink it :)

Tums- I have never experienced heartburn before and didn't up until my 3rd trimester. I felt like I couldn't keep anything down and it was awful. But tums worked wonders. If you have heartburn you literally can't live without these.

Shea Butter: I totally understand that everyone has different skin and sometimes we're prone to stretch marks. It's not a bad thing. I honestly love the ones I have but I feel like this really helped keep my skin stay hydrated through my pregnancy and limited the amount I actually had. I used basically everything and is what shea butter worked the best for me.

Monthly Pictures of Your Baby

My baby is only 2 months old and I already have a few hundred pictures of him. I can't help it, I love watching his growth and development.  He looks so different from week to week! I feel like babies grow so fast, especially in their first year. So, I've compiled a list of ideas of "monthly pictures" to capture and remember our little ones growth their first year.

A Portrait: Like I said above, babies change so much and having a portrait picture each month really shows just how much their features change and become more distinct.

Bathtime: I really don't think there is anything cuter than a bath baby. They are always so happy in the bath and cuddly afterwords! It really is the best time for a picture and I love remembering Emmett that way <3

Playtime/New Tricks: So, my baby doesn't really "play" yet, but he is starting to grab things, and at things, which is crazy for us first-time parents! Although, he doesn't have "playtime" just yet, I like seeing the difference in his development through pictures.

Picture w/Mom/Dad/Family: I remember looking back at pictures from when I was a baby and wishing that my mom or dad were in them more and I've had friends say the same things. It's SO easy to just take all the pictures of the baby and we'll still have a million of them! But I think it's important to make the effort when we can to try to do individual shots and a family pic at least once a month!

Specific to Season: I get excited for changing seasons mostly because of clothes ;) but now I get to dress Emmett up! Aren't babies just the greatest when they're your little dolls?! Haha! I have to take advantage while I can! :)

October Playlist

If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with music. I obviously have my favorites, but I love it all.  I will usually make playlists to keep me going when Emmett naps. I'll listen to this one as I'm working on emails, editing pictures, doing laundry/chores. I feel like I accomplish more whenever I'm multi-tasking and having music on always helps. So, I wanted to share what I've had on repeat this month. Some are old and some are new. I hope you enjoy! :)

The DockATot

If you follow me on snapchat (kristinapadgett) you are always seeing my baby boy in his DockATot!  We have been using the DockATot since Emmett was about 2/3 weeks old, I wish I would have registered for it because it has become such a "must have" for us.

The DockATot is a handmade European product made in Sweden. It's a multi-functional lounger, co-sleeper and playtime lounger. Initially, we used it to co-sleep when Emmett was a newborn, and it was absolutely perfect for those middle of the night feedings. It was so easy to get him in and out!

I was really paranoid about co-sleeping at first, but constantly getting up and feeding was hard during my recovery and I didn't want to use anything that wasn't safe or certified. I just wouldn't put my baby in anything I didn't feel 100% comfortable with. After lots of research I finally found the DockATot. When I saw that this product was OEKO-TEX certified, breathable, and 100% cotton I knew I had to try it.

We no longer co-sleep, but we still use it everyday. Emmett literally takes all of his naps in it. It's lightweight and easy to carry around from room to room. When Emmett is so tired but having a hard time putting himself to sleep, I will set it right next to me as I'm folding laundry or working on a project and 99% of the time he'll just fall right to sleep in it. The swing or pack and play just doesn't do that!

Also, it fits in a suitcase so it's awesome for traveling. It comes in two sizes Deluxe: for 0-8 months and Grand: for 9-36 months. I have the two next to each other for size comparison, and I also have both of the DockATot's on our king size bed to show you how they fit :) The Grand is perfect for toddler bed transitions, but honestly I put Emmett in it sometimes now and he LOVES it! But here's the best part... DockATot is giving my readers $10 off their purchase. So give it a try and click on the link below to get your Dock!

Cheap Baby Friendly Costumes

I've always loved Halloween mostly because of the candy (because come on') and also I love dressing up! Since no one in my family is complaining about it, I'm having all of us match. Cheesy? Probably. But I feel like I can only do this for so long, and I will take advantage while I can! But I'm also not into spending a lot of money to put my infant in a costume that he'll probably just spit up or blow out in. So, I've complied some of my favorite thrifty costumes for the family below along with my pinterest board of ideas :)

Super Heros
I feel like this is so fun for kids and you can get the baby involved too. You can make it really cheap by just going to the store and picking up some super hero shirts or doing a DIY where you can again get a t-shirt and use some hot glue & fabric and put it all together :)

Wizard of Oz
I wanted to do this for this year but decided to save it for the future. I love this because I feel like it's so cute and would work great for families of more than 3. It's also best as a DYI project. You can also make it cost effective by going to the thrift store to find most of these pieces.

Football Game
Babies make perfect footballs! HAHA! Mom or dad can be a ref and then the other can wear a jersey or colors of their favorite football team and there you have it!

The Sandlot
Ok, this is adorable! We really are leaning towards this one this year, but we'll see! You probably have almost all of these items just laying around your house for the boys. For mom, you could easily wear a white t-shirt and some red shorts or pants and put your hair in a pony for Wendy Peffercorn.

Bank Robbers
Wear all back or whatever you think bank robbers wear ;), that you have lying around the house. Then just use some fake money from the dollar store and put your baby in a paper bag of any sort and glue the money at the top of the bag so it shows.

Ice Ice Baby
I just think this is hilarious and you really can't get cheaper than this! A couple plastic bags and have that baby wear whatever you want!

What are some of your favorite Halloween costumes? What you're planning on doing with your family? :) I hope you all had a great Monday!
