27 Weeks

TOP//PANTS *Similar* (I have been living in these lately <3)//SANDALS

Happy Friday :) It's crazy to think I'm in the last week of my 2nd trimester. Where did the time go? I had an appointment on Monday and it was great to see our little man and how much he's grown already. Who told him he could grow so fast and weigh over 2 lbs haha! I got to see him open and close his eyes which at first doesn't sound that cool, but it really is. I can't wait until we can actually see each other <3 Honestly, it still trips me out to see his legs and arms. Pregnancy is weird and cool all at once.

I recently switched my OBGYN because we have moved and are now 5 miles away from the hospital, as opposed to 600 miles. Much more convenient. I took that glucose test that everyone tells you is "the worst,"  I can now attest to that. I had instant shakes from the nasty drink, I swear the after taste resembles poison. The results were really good, but my doctor is encouraging me to eat more. I feel like I'm eating a ton already I mean I  can definitely feel the 15 lbs I've gained so far... and it feels like it's all gone straight to my face. Oh well... hopefully my little guy is getting some of that chunk too haha! I guess from here on out I should be gaining a pound a week. I say bring it on ;) The only downside is I can't eat ice cream or chocolate, too many sweets make me sick, and greasy foods give me heartburn... which is all kind of depressing. I feel like with pregnancy I should be able to enjoy these yummy foods guilt-free! I have been able to sneak some donuts and cookies without wanting to die. So maybe that will get me by. Other than that I'm still living off of smoothies and salads.

Physically, I'm feeling just as good as I've felt this entire pregnancy... except if I don't stretch I get really sore. I had some sciatic nerve problems a couple weeks ago and my dr said that it was probably due to where the little guy was placed. She said he was probably on the nerve because I haven't had any problems since. I have had a few Braxton hicks contractions, those are weird. I didn't really know what they were because I've been feeling them for a few weeks now.  I honestly thought that they were my abs because I get them when I'm working out. Turns out they are NOT my abs at all... just my oversized uterus practicing for the big day, haha!

I obsessively watch him move in my tummy all the time. I've also had some very vivid dreams of him. Just the thought of him makes me overly sensitive. This probably sounds SO cheesy but my favorite part of the day is early in the mornings when I wake up and can feel him kick me and then turn over and see my husband <3 I can't believe we've made this growing boy together and how much  we already love him.

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Soft Pink Dress

Shop Look Below :)

I wore this dress for a dinner with Wyatt on our quick baby moon getaway. I loved the airy and light feel of the material and how I was so incredibly comfortable in it. The flutter sleeves really compliment the feminine soft pink color. I got this dress in a size 2 and I'm pretty sure it will last me the rest of my pregnancy. I'm 5'2 and this dress hits right below my knee which I absolutely love! I hate it when dresses are so much shorter due to a growing belly. I feel like it's been happening with so many of my dresses since this belly just keeps growing haha! Above, I have similar options to the shoes I'm wearing and the bag I have. Here is the exact link to the dress. I hope you all are having an amazing weekend!!

Traveling in Comfort

Hello :) Today I'm talking about traveling "style." I'm usually the first person to try to stay in my sweats the entire time when traveling... usually anywhere... But I sometimes hate how frumpy I feel. Comfort is essential when traveling so what about us ladies that still like to incorporate our style even when we travel? Or after a long day of traveling are fitting in activities in which sweats are not so appropriate? Well with all the traveling, my husband and I have done in the past year, I've really zoned in on things I like to wear that help me stay comfortable and not "frumpy" I'm when traveling.

For example... I don't know if you're anything like me, but it's really hard for me to keep my shoes on the entire time I travel. I like to be as comfortable as I can because traveling is stressful sometimes and discomfort stresses me out even more haha! Anyway... I always get annoyed having to take my shoes off at the airport so I'll make sure to wear "easy to remove" shoes whenever I'm traveling. If you're pregnant, whether it's going by quick or slow for you... it's still about 9 months long, so traveling becomes inevitable. I'm sure I speak for 99% of pregnant women.... comfort is #1. This is my go-to traveling outfit in the summer and love how it even works with a belly ;)

Shop Items Below :)

A simple cotton dress, with a jean jacket, and some converse. I always love having a light jacket in the summer because I'm prone to getting cold. These converse are great because they are so comfy and easy to remove!

What do you usually like to travel in? I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks so much for stopping by :)

Spring Flowers

DRESS (Size: 2)//SIMILAR SHOES//CUFF//BAG

Hello readers :) Man, I feel like this weekend just flew by! But I hope you are all have a great start to your week. I've told you guys my struggle when it comes to maternity clothes. Other than Pink Blush, ASOS has been my other favorite place to get maternity clothes. This dress fits so great and I can feel that it will grow with me and my belly. When I saw this dress I immediately loved the A-line cut, but I wasn't sure how it would look with me having such a round belly now. I actually ended up loving it because it makes me feel feminine and I think it accentuates the belly that much more... Instead of making me look more round, which I like ;) I was also attracted to the black and white floral print. You guys know I love color but I thought it was a different look from the typical spring floral. The dress is pretty busy so I just paired the dress with a simple gold cuff and some tan accessories. Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Ideas For Summer (Pregnancy Friendly)

Summer has always been my favorite season and even more so now. I love the warm weather, my birthday is in July, married my sweetheart last June, and our baby boy is due late July. We're going to be in California all summer and if you know southern California summers you know just how hot they can be. I think about how hot I get now when it get's to 75 degrees in Utah... Then adding on an extra 20+ pounds and an extra 20 degrees. Yikes, I'm hoping I survive ;)

I got a little bummed when I found out we were going to be living within minutes from Disneyland because I can't really take full advantage of all the fun rides while pregnant. So instead of thinking about all the things I can't do this summer, I focused on fun ideas that we can still do while I'm pregnant ;) Below, I have a list of some fun, pregnancy friendly ideas to do with friends and family this upcoming season!

*Some of the pictures below are from fun times we had last summer.
Hope you enjoy :) *

-Make smores: Me and my husband aren't big on camping... But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy one of it's biggest perks. SMORES ;)

-Be tourists: I love exploring new cities. I love window shopping and just walking around so this is especially fun to do in the summer when there are more activities going on.

-Have a picnic: Picnic's are great. I love taking advantage of warm weather, sitting under a shaded tree with a sandwich and some watermelon. Ah that just hits the spot.

-Go to a fair: Street fair/carnival/ boardwalk etc. There's nothing better than indulging in some funnel cake and deep fried Oreo's especially when you're eating for two ;)

-Spa day: Doesn't that just sound great all the time? Since my back is already giving me problems I'll  try to make it our priority to get massages and do a mini spa day while we're on our baby moon <3

-Music festivals and concerts: I love listening to live music and sharing it with friends and family makes it even better.

(Luke Bryan concert)

-Sweet treats: Those refreshing summer treats are my favorite. Snow cones/ice cream/smoothies/popsicles... You name it.

-Drive-in: I always wish the movie theater was as comfortable as my couch. With drive-in's you're pretty close.  You're in the comfort of your own car or truck & I love that.

-Be active: Hiking, beach cruising, roller blading, etc... If you can handle it, do it :)

-Food Truck: Not your traditional dinner date plus you're usually not limited to one place to eat. If someone wants pizza, you want tacos, but you all want to enjoy it together...That's no problem with food truck round ups.

-WATER: Go to the beach, walk on the pier, or hang out by the pool. The water is so cool and refreshing in the summer!

-Baseball game: I mean come on... What's summer without baseball? ;)

(From a Bee's Game)

-Mini golf: Mini golf is one of my favorite activities to do with my husband because he loves competitive things and I like competing with him haha!

-The Zoo: I love zoo's and since I won't be able to take full advantage of disneyland right now, the zoo is a great substitute! ;)

What are some of your favorite activities to do in the summer? I hope you all have a great weekend :)

Baseball Dress

DRESS (Size: X-Small)//SHOES//WATCH//BRACELETS (SIMILAR)

Good morning! Yes, I am wearing another Downeast dress. I just couldn't stop myself. They have the cutest dresses in right now. For you non-preggers, this is NOT a maternity dress. I was shocked at how well it fit! I loved wearing these dresses before I was pregnant and I feel like these body conscious dresses are awesome for expecting mom's too. They are tight enough to show your bump but comfortable enough to not feel totally restricted. I mean what a perfect dress for summer it's even called the "ball game dress" & it comes in black, burgundy, and navy.
Thanks for following along!

Drug Store Lipstick Haul

Hey guys :) I have a lipstick post today. Other than my eyebrows ;)... I usually don't leave the house without some kind of lip color on. I just feel like it livens up your face without having to do much. The warmer months are my favorite for lipstick because I love a bold and bright lip. I love name brand lipstick and I'll share some of those in a later post, but drug stores have great dupes for half the price. Especially if they aren't colors you would typically wear, I know with that I'm always more likely to do a cheaper brand. I got all of these colors from Walgreens for less than $10 each. Hope you enjoy!

1. REVLON COLOR STAY ULTIMATE SUEDE: BOHO CHIC (093)
Revlon is definitley one of my favorite drug store brands. Almost all of my drug store lip colors are Revlon just because they make a good product and always have a variety of colors and options. I love this for a summer time red. The color is an obvious red color but not with a warmer undertone more suitable for summer.
2. L'OREAL PARIS LE MATTE LIP PEN: MATTE-R OF FACT (108)
I've never tried a matte lip color before and I feel that this is a great dupe from those expensive brands out there. If you're not totally sold on the matte trend but want to give it a try without breaking the band I highly recommend this brand. The color is rich and it didn't dry out my lips.

3. REVLON ULTRA HD LIP LACQUER: CITRINE (550)//RIMMEL LONDON EXAGGERATE FULL COLOR LIP LINER: CALL ME CRAZY (104)
What's summer without a bright coral lip color? I've been seeing a lot of coral lately & have been excited to try it. The Revlon lip lacquer is amazing, I feel like it's really creamy and thick without feeling like "too much." I lined my lips with this awesome liner from Rimmel and I liked that it made the over all color a little brighter.
What are some of your favorite summer lip colors and brands? :)

London Eye Dress

DRESS (Size: X-Small)//SHOES//BRACELET (SIMILAR)//BAG

During this second trimester dresses have been my best friends and I have a feeling they will throughout the rest of my pregnancy. Haha! I'm trying to see the positives of being pregnant during the hottest months of summer and dresses are going to be that silver lining. This dress is from Downeast (NOT maternity) and the best part of it are the pockets! I love anything with pockets. I usually carry some kind of lip color on me and it's nice to just keep it in my pocket instead of digging in my purse (I'm extra lazy these days).  I love this mint color because I feel that it's perfect for spring and summer, bur Downeast also has this dress in navy (SO  cute). The sizes seem to be selling fast so make sure to head to a store near you or head over to their online shop :) We took these pictures at some orange groves just behind Wyatt's parents house and the weather was perfect. Gotta love 75 degrees and sunny ;) I hope you all have a great start to your week!
